While working on our Solids, Liquids and Gases Inquiry we had a special visit from Mr. Beutin. He helped us make Oobleck from Dr. Seuss's book Bartholomew and the Oobleck which Mrs. Beutin read to us the previous day. We used corn starch and water to create Oobleck and had difficulty deciding if Oobleck was a liquid or solid. We then learned that it was a non-Newtownian fluid which has properties of book liquids and solids. We had a lot of fun doing science and made a bit of a mess too! Thanks Mr. Beutin!
