Family Literacy Night

Thank you to all Team Treasure Families who attended our Family Literacy Night.   We were so glad to see so many families having such a great time!  We hope you enjoyed the magic show too!  Please remember to follow our schedule for what chapters to read in The Sixty-Eight Rooms.  We will be having classroom discussions about the chapters.  Thank you so much for your support!  Congrats to the Shore family for winning the raffle and great job to Yavelo for helping out at the magic show!

Science with Mr. Beutin

While working on our Solids, Liquids and Gases Inquiry we had a special visit from Mr. Beutin.  He helped us make Oobleck from Dr. Seuss's book Bartholomew and the Oobleck which Mrs. Beutin read to us the previous day.  We used corn starch and water to create Oobleck and had difficulty deciding if Oobleck was a liquid or solid.  We then learned that it was a non-Newtownian fluid which has properties of book liquids and solids. We had a lot of fun doing science and made a bit of a mess too!  Thanks Mr. Beutin!

Holiday Fun

Team Treasure had a lot of fun over the holidays.  Mr. Azzolina came in and read us a holiday story and Mrs. Azzolina came in to help us make reindeer brownies.  We sang songs in the gym and played PBIS Bingo with our Buddies!   What a fun afternoon! Thanks to all the Team Treasure Families for helping donate snacks to our celebration!
