TIME FLIES WHEN YOU ARE HAVING FUN!
TIME FLIES WHEN YOU ARE HAVING FUN!
Team Treasure was extremely busy the month of September learning how to implement Readers' Workshop into the classroom. We have focused on using "Good Habits" when reading. We have also been working with our reading partner to practice our reading skills.
In math, we have been focusing on strategies to solve for both addition and subtraction. We have been using "Number Talks" to communicate our thinking to others. We understand that "EVERYONE CAN DO MATH!"
In writing, we have been focusing on personal narratives. We have learned how to "Think, Think, Think" of an idea. "Touch and Tell" our ideas across our fingers, sketch, write, revise and edit. We have been working extremely hard as authors.
The month of September consisted of district assessments including MAP in both reading and math and the PALS assessment.

Visit from Jon McGlocklin
Team Treasure received a surprise visit from Jon McGlocklin today. We have been studying famous people and he is a very famous Milwaukee Buck who won the NBA Championship in 1971! What an awesome visit ....and amazing person he is! We also were so lucky to have Mrs. Azzolina bring us basketball cupcakes and Uncle Jimbo bring some bobble heads to raffle off for fish tickets! What a great day for Team Treasure!
