Mystery Bucket

Today during our morning meeting we gave several clues about what was in the mystery bucket.  We found out that our item was too large to fit in the bucket.  Instead it was in Mrs. Gosch's closet.  It was a bat house, also known as the bat "roost" that Mr. Kelly made. Mr. Kelly came into our classroom to talk about the bat house and the various parts of the house including the landing pad and various rooms for the bats to go in.

His "roost" can hold 100-150 bats! We are currently doing research on bats and are coming up with questions, answers, and new learning about bats.  Mr. Kelly helped us learn how we can use our iPads to help us with our research.
